Lighthouse Ministry

Description: Lighthouse Ministry serves vulnerable members of our community. Guests earn points by completing basic tasks and can use those points to purchase needed items from the ministry’s pantry and supplies.

Who: People experiencing homelessness, residents of inner-city communities, and those living in local hotels.

What: Access to food, hygiene items, and clothing through an empowerment-based ministry.

When: The 1st and 3rd Tuesday of every month, from 10 a.m.–2 p.m.

Mission Jackson

Description: Mission Jackson is a weekly outreach ministry where Englewood volunteers share the Gospel and build relationships with children and families at multiple locations throughout Jackson.

Who: Kids of all ages and families in the Jackson community, served by Englewood volunteers.

What: Community outreach through sports, crafts, and small-group Bible studies.

When: Every Sunday at 3:00 p.m.

How to Get Involved: Volunteers are needed to reach more families and expand Mission Jackson to additional sites across the city. Contact Isabella Jimenez at ijimenez@ebcjackson.org to volunteer.

Hotel Outreach

Description: Hotel Outreach partners with the Scarlet Rope Project, an organization that helps women escape sex trafficking and exploitation. Ministry teams deliver meals door-to-door at local hotels and share the Gospel.

Who: People staying in local hotels, served by our ministry volunteers in partnership with the Scarlet Rope Project.

What: Meal preparation and delivery, Gospel sharing, and outreach at local hotels.

When: The 1st and 3rd Wednesday of each month.

How to Get Involved: Volunteers are urgently needed for grilling, food wrapping, food box packing, and door-to-door outreach. Contact Alison at akeener@ebcjackson.org to learn more or volunteer.

English Classes

Description: Free English classes help learners develop their language skills at the Highland and Medina campuses. Classes are available for beginner, intermediate, and advanced levels.

Who: People of all English proficiency levels who want to learn or improve their English.

When:

Highland Campus: 

Mondays, 8:30–9:45 a.m. and 10:00–11:15 a.m.

Tuesdays, 5:45–7:00 p.m.

Medina Campus: 

Mondays, 6:00–7:15 p.m.

Andrew Jackson

Description: School Outreach serves Andrew Jackson Elementary, the school closest to our church that many Mission Jackson students attend.

Who: Students, families, and teachers at nearby schools, especially Andrew Jackson Elementary.

What: Support through special events such as Fall Fest, a picnic on the school lawn, Spring Fling, and a annual sports banquet.

When: Throughout the year, with opportunities tied to school events and service projects.

How to Get Involved: Volunteer to help with events, landscaping, minor repairs, or teacher appreciation. Contact Robin Popplewell at rpopplewell@ebcjackson.org for more information.

Van Drivers



Description: Volunteer van drivers support our mission teams by providing transportation to and from the airport or other meeting locations.

Who: Volunteers who can pass a driving record check. No CDL is required.

What: Drive mission teams for drop-off, pickup, or both.

When: As needed, based on mission team travel schedules.

Community Partnerships

Birth Choice

This ministry empowers women and their partners to choose life when faced with an unplanned pregnancy. Volunteer nurses and client advocates are needed, as well as donation of baby items. For more information, contact Robin Popplewell rpopplewell@ebcjackson.org.
